The heartthrob of Telugu audiences, Ileana, was introduced to the Telugu film industry through 'Devadasu' directed by YVS Choudary. The film was a runaway hit and celebrated silver jubilee.
The heroine, many a time claimed that it was Choudary who was so patient and taught him how to act.
After 'Devadasu', she played in some other films and 'Pokiri' made her to reach the peak and she turned the most sought after heroine for many producers. In no time, she was able to demand a handsome remuneration.
However, she had no notable hits after these two movies. Presently she is enjoying the success of 'Jalsa' at Goa and she is reportedly listening to the stories there itself.Still luck continued to knock her door.
She is presently had three projects on hand despite successive failures. One among them is by YVS Choudary in which a young hero would play the lead, while one is in the combination of another hit director Surender Reddy opposite Raviteja and the third film for which she signed the dotted line is to be produced by BVSN Prasad.
