Pandurangadu music on 27th with 16 tracks

NBK's Panduranagdu music will be released on 27th April in Chinthalapudi Panduranga Temple.

A press meet was organized today (7th April) in Hyderabad and released promos and publicity posters of the film.

MM Keeravaani said that he is coming up with 16 tracks for this film.

The two songs-Hey.. Krishna Mukandamure and Amma ani pilichina from original Panduranga Mahathyam have been retained for this film.

K Raghavendar Rao is directing the film. Sneha and Tabu arein female lead roles. Chandra Bose,Suddala Ashoka Teja, Veturi and Vedavyas are providing the lyrics for this devotional flick.

Jalsa heading towards big hit.

Pawan Kalyan's Jalsa was released on 2nd April. The first week collections will come by tomorrow evening (9th April). Before that the film is heading towards big hit at domestic box office as well as overseas market. The film is really doing well in US. The film has showed its strength at the box office by collected Rs8 crores on the first day itself.

Audiences are accepting the film as best entertainer irrespective of the class and Mass. It is getting the good results at the box office and It is the best entertainer for this summer with Trivikram's entertaining dialogues.

Bommarillu Bhaskar to direct Vikram.

Bommarillu Bhaskar will be directing a film with Hero Vikram. Though hero Vikram is familiar to Telugu audiences, he didn't act straight Telugu film so far. Bommarillu Bhaskar bagged that chance to direct Vikram in Telugu film by narrating an interesting story line to Vikram.

Chatrapathi Prasad who is close friend of Vikram will be producing the film. Vikram uses Prasad's car when ever he visits Hyderabad.

Bommarillu Bhaskar is doing a film Parugu with Allu Arjun and the film will hit the screens in the first week of May. And Vikram's film will begin from June 2008.

I don’t mind item songs: Neetu

It’s not the easiest thing for a debutante to do a film which has two other new faces. But Neetu Chandra who made her Bollywood debut in Garam Masala two and half years ago, not only managed to get noticed, but even got plum roles thereafter.

Neetu claims it was a gamble that she took deliberately because she was sure an Akshay Kumar-John Abraham starrer would bring in the crowds, something that a solo heroine project with a newcomer “may not have assured”. And she was not wrong. She did Madhur Bhandarkar’s Traffic Signal and now One Two Three directed by Ashwani Dhir.

Playing a Haryanvi cop who’s a bit of a loudmouth was fun. “I had to take special classes in diction to play that character. It was fun doing this film and my hard work seems to have paid off as I have been appreciated for the role,” says Neetu.

Neetu’s kitty is full right now with Rahul Dholakia’s Mumbai Cutting, Dibakar Banerjee’s Oye Lucky Lucky Oye and PC Sreeram’s Flat No13-B.

Most outsiders have a tough time in carving their own place in the film industry. What makes Neetu so lucky? The perky actress says “luck” isn’t the only thing that has made her successful. “I choose my roles with care and pay close attention to the banner before signing on the dotted line. My hard work, positive energy, parents’ support and luck together has worked for me,” she adds. She’s also done her share of southern films and is currently working in her first Tamil film Yaavarum Nalam with actor Madhavan and director Puri Jagannath’s untitled Telugu film.

For a change, Neetu doesn’t come out with a politically correct answer when we ask her what she feels about ‘skin scenes’. As she says, “It entirely depends on the script. I don’t think it is a bad idea and if one can carry the character well, then nothing like it.” And even item songs are welcome. “Aishwarya Rai Bachchan did an amazing job in Kajra re and now Rakhi Sawant is fantastic in Krazzy 4, so what’s wrong in doing them. If they are shot well, I don’t mind item songs and will do them,” she says.

A family-oriented girl, Neetu spends “quality time” with her family, and is a black belt in Taekwondo and a basket ball player, a youth icon for Unicef and works for cancer and AIDS patients.

Guess what? She’s even got a sense of humour. If her hectic lifestyle doesn’t give her time for love, Neetu derives solace from the fact that she is “seeing eight to 10 guys — all the heroes of my films”.

‘Kalidasu’ slated for release on April 11

Sushant, the nephew of Akkineni Nagarjuna, is making his debut appearance as hero through ‘Kalidasu’ (Veediki Chethivaatam Yekkuva). Tamanna of ‘Happy Days’ fame is playing heroine opposite Sushant. The film is being presented by Annapurna Studios and produced by Chintalapudi Srinivasa Rao and A Naga Suseela is all set to hit the screen on April 11. The director says, ‘I made the film as a mass commercial entertainer. We have not created any hype among the audiences about the film and in fact we trusted the story. Shooting and post-production works were complete and we are making efforts to release the film on April 11. Tamanna would earn a good name for her excellent performance on the lines of ‘Happy Days’.

The audio of the film was released into the market recently and it is getting a positive response. We implemented the suggestions given by Nagarjuna and D Sureshbabu while shooting the film. We are well aware that the audiences would keep high expectations on the movie as it was from a family of artistes. We are sure that our film ‘Kalidasu’ would earn a place besides Akkineni’s ‘Devadasu’ and Nagarjuna’s ‘Ramadasu’. We are very confident that our film would be a big hit.’

Chiranjeevi Party confirmation soon - Allu Aravind

After days of speculation, megastar Chiranjeevi’s family on Saturday kept up the suspense by stating that the actor would make a public announcement of his decision regarding entering politics in one or two months.

The actor’s brother-in-law and well-known producer Allu Aravind announced this at a press conference. On the face of it, Allu Aravind’s press conference was to talk about the Chiranjeevi blood bank but very soon the million dollar question came up: when would Chiranjeevi float his new political party?

"Chiranjeevi quite understands the enthusiasm of the people. There is no confusion in his mind about what he wants to do. He will take a decision in one or two months and publicly announce the same. Chiranjeevi will honour the enthusiasm that people are showing towards his entry into politics," Allu Aravind said.

From his utterances, it seemed that Allu Aravind wanted the speculation over Chiranjeevi’s possible plunge into public life to continue and at the same time send a message across to the megastar’s fans and supporters not to lose patience.

It was earlier widely expected that Chiranjeevi would get onto the political bandwagon and announce it on Ugadi on April 7. The timing of Allu Aravind’s press conference, in this context, is significant as it come just a couple of days before Ugadi.

On the auspicious day of Ugadi, Balakrishna and K Raghavendra Rao's Pandurangadu's first look was unveiled to the public. The firsbt ever press meet of the film was held today (Monday, April 07, 2008) at Prasad Labs, Hyderabad and the event was telecast ‘live’ on news channels. The film is based on the classic NTR's Panduranga Mahatyam and is produced by Krishnamohan Rao on RK Film Associates banner. Sneha and Tabu are the lead pair while Balakrishna does dual roles. Hero Balakrishna, directors Raghavendra Rao and K Vishwanath, music director M M Keeravani, writer J K Bharavi, Sana, Suhasini (who plays the role of Satyabhama), Apoorva and others graced the ceremony.

"Raghavendra Rao gaaru directed excellent devotional films - Annamayya and Sri Ramadasu - in the past but Pandurangadu is different from them. For, Pandurangadu is based on hugely popular film done by my father Late NTR. It is a classic. So making this film is a challenge. Pandurangadu has similarities to that classic yet differs from it. We have Lord Krishna character and roles of Satyabhama, Rukhmini and Narada which you don't find in Panduranga Mahatyam. You would see Raghavendra Rao’s Midas Touch once again. He shot so beautifully," Balakrishna said. He also informed that the audio will be released on April 27th at Panduranga Swamy temple near Munginapudi beach, Machilipatnam.

I am doing impossible task: K Vishwanath

Veteran director K Vishwanth does the role of Balakrishna's father in this movie. "The role is originally played by great actor Chittoor Nagaiah. I was offered to recreate the magic. It is really impossible task. It would be foolish to say that I would recreate what the great actor enacted but I tried my best not to spoil the character," Vishwanath said. Producer Krishnamohan hoped that the film would become huge success. "On our RK Associates banner, we earlier made a film with Balayya - Apoorva Sahodarulu. It was a big success. We hope to repeat the same," he hoped.

Yes the audio of 'Kantri' was released recently and it has become a rage among the music lovers in AP. The hero of the film is NTR Jr. and 'Kantri' has been directed by Meher Ramesh.

Bhale dongalu releasing on April 11th

Director Vijay Bhaskar has wrapped up the shooting of his Tarun-Ileana starrer Bhale Dongalu, which is being produced by S.Panduranga Rao and being presented by Bellamkonda Suresh.

JALSA REVIEW - first half 4/5 second half 2/5

Introduction:

Jalsa, which ripped out huge expectations thanks to the heavy promotional strategies, including a Game show, doesn't offer much entertainment as promised in its title. Pawan Kalyan, after a long time, came with Kushi-like mannerisms. Racy stunts, similar songs and music for all numbers, scenes shuttling between the hero and villain, sporadic comedy is all about Jalsa. Levels of entertainment are just average, and will disappoint those who watch movie with its title in mind.

Synopsis:

Sanjay Sahu (Pawan Kalyan) hails from a poor rural family at remote village in Karimnagar district . His brother dies of heart disease as a child. His father commits suicide as crops fail and his mother too is no more soon. While going to burial ground, he repeatedly slips and swoons at a stone pillar. He plucks it out, which enrages the henchmen of a land-grabber Damodar Reddy (Mukesh Rishi). When they attack him, Sahu beats them to near-death, and disappears into a forest and joins the naxalites. During a combing operation, Sahu and a police officer (Prakash Raj) meet each other and become good companions under strange circumstances. Sahu comes to Hyderabad and duly rehabilitated as a college student. The police officer's younger daughter Bhagi aka Bhagmati (Ileana) falls in love with Sahu. However, the cop is not willing to sing his daughter's marriage with Sahu, whom he thinks as a carefree youth without commitments. Meanwhile, Damodar Reddy is out on a vengeance mission against Sahu, as his lands are distributed among the rural poor by the naxalites. Now, the police officer wants to get his daughter married to a decent young man (Sivaji), but he soon realizes that he is none other than the younger son of Damodar Reddy. How does Sahu accomplish the task of undoing Reddy's attacks and winning the hand of Bhagi? It forms the climax.

Performance:

Pawan Kalyan steals the show from the start to finish. He shoulders the entire responsibility of doing something now and then to create the mood of Jalsa. However, his characterization suffers from reaching a full dimension. The hero falling in love with the elder daughter of a police officer and later asking the same man to give his younger daughter might sound funny, but is a blot coming to hero's characterization. After the interval bang, everybody expects some serious action on the part of the hero, but it turns non-serious further and further. In all there are three heroines – Ileana, Kamalinee Mukherjee and Parvati Melton. All of them are strictly limited to oomph-less glamour, with some saving grace from Ileana. Parvati Melton looked too heavy besides Pawan Kalyan. Mukesh Rishi played the hardcore villain of the piece. But, his villainy is dramatic. Prakash Raj appears as a police officer (SP) in funny shades. Sivaji as usual did a small role as a bridegroom. You have comedians – Sunil, Brahmanandam and Ali. But, there is no scene to tickle our ribs. Just deliberate comedy!

Technical Details:

Story is weak from the start to finish. There is no justification to the title Jalsa. Screenplay is fragile, testing the patience of the audience, yet with three-hour duration. While first half rolls down with some simple comedy and dramatic scenes, the second half turns out and out action-packed for no good reason, except the personal rivalry between the hero and villain.

Mahesh Babu's voice over is good but rendered waste. Coming on three occasions, the voiceover becomes a major deviation. Though it is used in a serious tone, the episodes and the happenings later do not match the tone.

Dialogues are average. The hero refers to the name of Chiru on a couple of occasions aiming his verbal attack against the henchmen of his rival. He also sings the song – Nenu Saitham. At the interval bang, his long dialogue delivery – taking deep breaths now and then – resembles of the actor's recent outburst in TV channels, targeting the corruption in society. There is a punch-less satire on the road conditions in the state at the climax.

Music by Devi Sri Prasad sounds the same from the start to finish, in all songs. The common audience will find it difficult to distinguish the songs by their numbers. Despite having three heroines, the romance factor is missing. In one particular scene, the hero kisses the heroine (Ileana) unromantically.

Stunts are good but routine in all sequences. The episode, in which the hero plucks the stone pillar and attacks the baddies, is a good watch, packed with emotion too.

Comedy is weak. Brahmanandam's role turns miserable and gives a painful touch instead of evoking comedy – with unbearable teasing by the hero. The Sunil-Ileana-Dharmavarrapu episodes are dramatic.

Final Verdict :

The film is released to a average talk. There is no justification to the title Jalsa.But this film is pawan's best film after khusi.

illeana cried in TV program

Ileana- the leading heroine of Tollywood was invited to a program ‘Spandinche Hrudayam’ organized by TV9. She interacted with the orphans in that program. After hearing to the problems that are face by those orphans, Ileana literally cried on the occasion. She couldn’t control her emotions when the orphan children opened up their problems to Ileana.

Poori Jagannath’s Bujjigaadu Made in Chennai shoot is almost completed barring 3 songs shoot. Poori says that film would be a Love entertainer with Mass touch. And this film would be a great hit for Prabhas in this summer and Prabhas fans can celebrate the success of this film.

KS Rama Rao who is producing the film says that the film will be another big hit like Chanti on Creative Commercials banner.

MohanBabu is playing very special role of Big Gunda and he is the brother of Trisha- this role would be high light for the film.

Poori’s son Aakash and daughter Pavitra are going to appear in a short role for this film.

Sandeep Chowtha (Super fame) is composing the music for this film. Poori Jagan who brought Sandeep in to Telugu with Super film is gain depending on his music.

The music will be released in the first week of April and the film is planned for 1^st week of May release.
