Pawan Kalyan wanted to make the film Sathyagrahi with producer AM Rathnam. This was before the release of Pawan's Bagaram. But Bangaram bombed at box office and then the project was shelved temporarily.
But Sathyagrahi is the Pawan's dream project and now Nukarapu Surya Prakash Rao (Surya News Paper)is planning to revive the project and first round discussions with Pawan already completed successfully.
Pawan is ready with the script and it may go on floors after Puli completes its shoot.
Mamata Mohandas has just returned from the US where she was shooting for her next film, the Venkatesh-starrer Chintakayala Ravi.
She has not had a release in a while but with three of her films- Victory, Homam and Chintakayala Ravi - all set to release one after another, we are surely going to see a lot of her over the next couple of months! The actress, it seems, is very happy with the way the films have shaped up. "I am eagerly looking forward to the release of these three films.
I am happy that I got to play three characters that are completely different from each other. I enjoyed playing each character and can't wait to see the audience response," says a jubilant Mamata. That's not all, the singer-turned-actress has also lent her voice for a song each in both Victory and Homam.
The song in Homam especially has got everybody talking. "I play a doctor's character in the film and it's a situational song in the film when the two lead characters express their love for the first time. So it had to be sensual," she laughs. Mamata has not signed any Telugu films for now.
"Presently, I am busy doing a Tamil film with Madhavan and Abbas. I would like to wait for my films to hit the screens before I take on any more Tollywood assignments," she said.
Allu Arjun is as popular in Malayalam as he is in Telugu though he has not done any straight Malayalam movie so far!! This handsome actor, who redefined the fate of dubbed movies, is doing well through his movies dubbed in Malayalam.
Earlier, his dubbed films like Arya, Bunny, and Happy have had successful weeks and months in the box office with a couple of them reaching the hundred day mark in some theatres.
Now, Allu Arjun is back in Malayalam with yet another movie titled Krishna, the Malayalam version of his Telugu film Parugu. The film, which was released in the first week of May in Andhra Pradesh, has recently completed 50 days. The movie is directed by Bhaskar of Bommarilu fame and music is by Mani Sharma. Also in the cast are Sheila, Prakashraj, Poonam Bajwa, Jaysudha, Subbaraju and Jayaprakash Reddy.
Kamal’s daughter Shruthi Hasan has chosen Bollywood to enter into tinsel town and would be featuring as the heroine in ‘Luck’ to be produced by Ashtavinyak Films and directed by Soham Shah. Luck will have Imran Khan, nephew of Aamir Khan as hero.
When the unit of Luck was hunting for a suitable heroine, it was Aamir Khan who had suggested Shruti’s name and had later spoken to her dad Kamal to get his consent.
The film is said to go on floor from July 8th in South Africa and will get completed in one schedule. Besides, the lead cast, the film also has Sanjay Dutt, Danny Denzongpa and Mithun Chakraborty.

When I saw Esha Deol appear in a skimpy bikini in Dhoom, my heart sank, because I realized that I stood no chance of saying no to getting into a bikini, if Esha who is from the film industry had to do it. I am not at all a prude.
Though I had turned down Arjun Sablok's offer to cast me in Niel N Niki in the role in which he had eventually cast Tanisha, because he could not convince me to expose my cleavage almost throughout the film, I'd readily do a lip to lip kissing scene like Rani did in Black if the scene changes the entire narration like it did in Black."

Nandamuri Kalayam Ram is doing a film titled Hare Ram in the direction of Harsha Vardhan. Kalayan Ram is playing the dual role. Priyamani is the heroine. Mickey J mayor is the music director.

According to some reliable sources of MAA TV, ever since Zee Telugu has come up with an idea to air recently released films which are 6 months old, Nagarjuna is spending sleepless nights from the past three months.
It is reported that in April 2008 many sponsorers and NRI investors were lured y Nagarjuna to invest in his channel. But it is said that since this channel could not attract the viewers in the summer vacations the TRP’s of the channel were only average during the summer season. The programs in this channel are failing to rise. The new set of reality shows like Bommarillu and others are failing to capture the audience.
Even the repeat telecast of Chiranjeevi, Allu arjun, Nagarjuna films are not at all capturing the TRP’s rise. More over till date only Gemini TV was in the competition of Maa TV. Hema Malini is going to play one of Kamal's heroines in this film and the other one is probably Kajol. AR Rehman is signed as the composer for this magnum opus.
After his injury at the sets of ‘Newtonin 3am Vidhi’, actor-director S J Suryah is back in the sets of the movie now.
He was on a motorbike following a car for a stunt scene and could not stop his bike in time some days ago. He crashed into the car and sustained cut injuries to the face. Doctors advised him complete rest for a few days. A thorough professional, Suryah is back in the sets to shoot the film now.
Shooting for the movie is on in and around Chennai. After completing the project, he would commence his Telugu directorial venture starring Pawan Kalyan.

Ask her if she is set to become next big Bollywood’s diva from the South, and the actress giggles in embarrassment, “I’m a long way from getting anywhere near Hema, Rekha and Sridevi. But I feel hugely welcome in Mumbai. I don’t know why filmmakers are showing so much interest in me.”
Spirited, spunky and beautiful, Asin (pronounced Ah-sin) shows a sense of humour when she explains her name: “Asin is coined from Sanskrit and English. It means ‘sinless’... like ‘Amala’... without blemish. I hope I live up to my name in Mumbai.”
For now, Mumbai is her home. “But only because my immediate commitments are in Mumbai,” she clarifies. “I’m the brand ambassador for six multi-national companies and the ads need to be shot in Mumbai. Now there are Hindi films too.”
Fortunately, Asin speaks Hindi without that Southern twang that is even now so pronounced in Hema. “I’ve never used a dubbing artiste for any of my films, not even for the Hindi ads, and I’m speaking in my own voice in my first Hindi film Ghajini,” she claims.
“In these days of globalisation, I don’t think language is a barrier. I’m interested in films in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and any other language as long as the projects are exciting.”
She’s aware her shift to Mumbai has given rise to rumours that she’s giving up on South Indian cinema. “That’s untrue,” says Asin defensively. “Whatever I’m today is because of Tamil and Telegu cinema. Why am I expected to choose between Mumbai and the South?”
Kajal Agarwal is the busiest actress in the south these days. She is busy with a couple of Tamil and Telugu films. Not only that it seems that she is one actress who knows what she wants. The lady says that there is nothing wrong in being glamorous. "I find nothing wrong in it," she says. "Every person has their own limits and boundaries. As long as it is decent and not vulgar and as long as my family approves it, I have no issues with being glamorous," the actress says with a smile.
However, Kajal also makes it clear that she prefers character-oriented roles to glamour ones. "I prefer family roles and I want to be known as a good character artiste," she says. Currently, she is on cloud nine after replacing Tamanna opposite the hot 'n' happening Allu Arjun in his next film, a sequel to his blockbuster Arya.

Director Sreenu Vytla's Ready is doing well at the box office. Hero Nagarajuna watched the film on the day of its release. Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ramcharan Teja watched the film in special screening held for them on Sunday Morning at 11am at a preview theatre of Prasad Labs.

Pawan Kalyan met with all district presidents of Mega fans in Geetha arts office on Saturday. Every President was trying to convince Pawan to benefit something personally, by showing the paper cuttings of the social service done by them in their respective districts. Pawan who could smell the intension of Mega Presidents, directed all the Mega presidents to go ahead with Ward committees in each village.

It seems that Hansikaa Motwani is not so secure about her co-star Celina Jaitley. Hansikaa and her mother Mona appeared jittery on the sets of Money Hai Toh Honey Hai. Someone even informed Celina about this, but she laughed it off. But she did ask the stylist to stop showing her costumes to Hansikaa and her mother."
