When all other star heroes are taking huge gap between one film and the other much to the disappointment of their fans, there is one hero who is planning his films very carefully and is leading by example.
It is none other than NTR who is riding high on success of Yama Donga. He gave very less time for the celebrations of long waited success and immediately started the next, Kantri.

This film is all set to hit the theatres next summer and NTR already has another project lined up to follow Kantri. Tentatively titled Kshatriyudu, NTR’s next will be directed by debutant Mahadev, an associate of SS Rajamouli over a period of time. Dil raju produces it. More details are awaited.

Heroines of 2007

When the year began, we knew who our No 1 heroine was. Now, we don’t!

There was tough rivalry between Ileana and Trisha. Kamlini Mukherjee looked very promising. Nayantara was busy dealing with her Simbu-controversies. Chaarmi was almost gone. But, before the end of the year, lot of things changed.

Genelia had one or two releases. Anuskha had her two releases. So did Bhavana. That was about it. There were occasional few from Bollywood- Amritha Rao in 'Adithi’ and Karishma Kotak in 'Shankardada Zindabad’.

Trisha managed to stay away from controversies for most part of the year. But she had a different kind of problem to deal with- her overenthusiastic fan club. There was once a time when heroes in Tamil refused to star with her because they were tired of her fanclub and its clashes with their fanclubs! She had starred with Vikram in a film named 'Bheema’ and is still waiting for the film to surface.

Ileana is now going to star as Tarun’s heroine in a romantic film. Nobody knows if it is such a good idea.

Arthi Agarwal surprised her fans when she showed signs of moving on with her life. She had got married to one of her cousins whom she claims she fell in love with after the Tarun controversy ended.

Then, there was Mumait Khan. Her role in 'Evadaithey Naakenthi’ was well-received. So, she starred in the next film 'Maisamma IPS’ as heroine. It bombed.

Heroines from Malayalam didn’t play such a major role this time. Meera Jasmine, Bhavana, Samvritha and others appeared in couple of films. It’s a different story in Nayantara’s case.

She was fresh from the success of films like 'Lakshmi’ and 'Boss’. This year, she starred in 'Tulasi’ and 'Dubai Seenu’. Then, there was her special appearance in 'Shivaji’. Now, in 'Billa 2007’ (Tamil), she looks absolutely stunning.

Watch out for her in 2008. There are quite a good number of films lined up!

Sneha in Chiranjeevi Party?

Actress Sneha says that she is ready to walk along with Chiranjeevi if he starts a political party. She said that she has no inclination towards politics but she may decide to get into that if Chiranjeevi gets into. She said that she likes Chiranjeevi a lot a got inspired by his social service as well.

In fact Sneha established an old age home and a marriage hall in her native place. She says that it is the inspiration she got from Chiranjeevi.

Sneha shared this thought in Visakhapatnam last evening. She was there for a private function. There seems to be a lot of affinity towards Chiranjeevi's political entry. We may see few more actresses in the line of Sneha down the line.
