Ravi Teja & Deeksha Seth in Nippu?

After pairing up with Ravi Teja in Mirapakay, Deeksha Seth has apparently bagged the lead role in his next film as well.

Although, there has been no confirmation regarding Deeksha Seth presence in the film, rumours are rife that the makers have indeed zeroed upon her. Gunasekhar is directing the film and YVS Chowdary is going to produce the film on Bommarillu banner. The film will be formally launched on May 28. More details about the film are going to be confirmed soon.

Ravi Teja, YVS Chowdary and Gunasekhar have been in the industry for more than 10 years and despite being good friend since their Chennai days, they have never teamed up for a film. This is quite an unexpected combination and has also raised some curiosity as to what sort of a film is it going to be.

Kajal Agarwal's Crazy Projects with Pawan and Mahesh

Tollywood treats actresses like the latest fashion trends — a new one every season. But Kajal Agarwal is one of the few female stars, who has managed to become a familiar face in the minds of Telugu viewers, amidst a sea of newcomers .

Still basking in the success of "Mr Perfect", "Brindavanam" and "Darling", the actress is on a career high — she now gets to romance biggies Mahesh Babu and Pawan Kalyan in her future projects, not to forget her meaty role opposite Ajay Devgan in her Bollywood debut, "Singham".

After a hectic shooting schedule for the same, the actress is just back in town. "It is wonderful working with Ajay Devgn. I'm happy I'm debuting with him in " Singham," said Kajal, who laughs off rumours about her shifting base to Bollywood. "I love Telugu films too much to ever think of moving. I start missing Hyderabad when I'm away for shooting. I will do Hindi films only if the scripts excite me. And since there are a lot of South Indian technicians working in this Hindi flick, I felt comfortable," she adds.

Back 'home' in Tollywood, she is busy enjoying her star status, doing movies with all the top stars. "I am in a very happy place right now. Three of my films have been back-to-back successes. If people think I am number one, I would like to say a big thank you for the compliment. But frankly, I don't believe in the dirty number game. I compete with myself. I'm glad I got to work with most of the young actors. I share a great rapport with all of them, be it Tarak, Prabhas or Allu Arjun."

Prabhas, a little more than anyone perhaps? "Just because I did two films with him, why should I be linked with him. I am single, but I really don't have time to 'mingle.' I share a cordial relationship with all in the industry, but all my true buddies are in Mumbai," clarifies Kajal, who also keeps the T'wood girls at bay. "We actresses exchange courtesies when we meet at events, but I never discuss my work with them. Samantha and Tamannaah are the only ones I can count as friends."

Bringing the focus back to work, Kajal is all excited about her project with Mahesh Babu. "When I entered Tollywood, "Pokiri" was the first Telugu film I watched. From then on, I wanted to work with the Puri-Mahesh combo," she said.

So content is she with her current career path that even the brickbats she got for her last film, "Veera" doesn't deter her. "I signed up for the movie because I liked the character, 'Chitti.' For the first time, I did a 'mass' role. It was an experiment, my job was to work hard. The fate of a film is not in our control," she says.

Kajal is also fast earning the tag of being one of the most stylish actresses in T'wood. "I try to experiment with my look in all my films. For now, I'm working with designer Vikram Phadnis. I do most of my shopping in Mumbai," she says.

Tamanna is Back in Tollywood

Tamannaah Bhatia has made a '100 %' comeback in Tollywood .

She may have been missing from the Telugu scene for a few years now, but it didn't take long for the pretty lass to woo all her fans back with her latest hit. In the city, busy shooting for another Telugu movie, the 21-year-old actress says she is here to stay this time around.

"After "Happy Days," I signed a two-film contract with Geeta Arts according to which I would do two movies with their production house in the future, depending on the availability of my dates. Meanwhile, I got some good offers from the Tamil film industry — with big heroes, established directors and prestigious production houses — which I couldn't ignore. After doing four movies there back to back, I was supposed to do "Arya 2" with Geeta Arts, but our dates didn't work out. Now I took up "100% Love" and "Badrinath." It was never a conscious decision to stay away from Telugu cinema." she explains.

It is now reported that the actress has entered the A-league of heroines in Kollywood who charge Rs 1 crore for every film. Would she ever want to give that up for Tollywood? "I will work in both the industries. I say yes to a film depending on who is directing it. Despite a good subject if the director is not upto the mark, the execution can go wrong. The combo of a great story and good director works for me," she says.

With her realistic performance in "100% Love," the actress has silenced critics, who called her a 'mere glam doll." Tamannaah, admits that she has certainly evolved as an actress from her "Happy Days" phase. "I was just 17 when I did "Happy Days." Now I am 21 and I have learnt a lot. Experience is the best teacher. I understand the craft of cinema better than before. I was elated when my "100 % Love" director Sukumar told me that I am like a white canvas and I can emote any expression on my face."

All this while keeping her glam quotient intact. Most reviewers can't stop raving about how she lights up the screen. "In one scene of "Happy Days," Kammula sir asked me walked down from the bus in a langa oni. I did it without being conscious. The feedback for that scene was amazing. Perhaps beauty lies in being natural. Besides, if a person is good natured, those positive vibes reflect as beauty. I also maintain a healthy diet full of veggies. But yes, I love chicken too and my greed for chicken in "100 % Love" is a genuine emotion," she quips.

Real reason behind Rajnikanth's Sickness!

Superstar Rajinikanth was rushed back to a hospital in Chennai on Saturday, for the third time in a month.

Doctors treating the star at Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre, Porur in Chennai, say that Rajni is suffering from pneumonia, renal and gastro-intestinal problems and will take some time to recover from the same.

It can be recalled that Thalaivar was first taken to the hospital on April 29th, after he felt discomfort on the first day of shooting for Rana. We hear that the real cause behind Rajni's illness is the severe diet he went on just before Rana schedule commenced.

A source revealed, "Rajni was supposed to loose weight for the film and he didn't have much time to accomplish the same as the shoot was to begin soon. Therefore, he went on a strict diet where he consumed only liquids. He lost a massive 15 kgs in just 20 days but given his age, the diet too a heavy toll on his health."

Meanwhile, doctors treating Rajni are on with few more tests and examinations and there are even reports that if his condition doesn't get better, the family will shift him to a hospital in the US for further treatment.

Our prayers with the superstar.

Bollywood calling Tollywood Heros

The yesteryears saw the graceful ladies of South Indian cinema — Hema Malini, Sridevi, Jaya Prada and gang — take giant leaps in Bollywood, ll thanks to their classic looks and dancing skills.

The men however, couldn't make much of a mark even though they were kings of South Indian cinema. But the year 2011 is proving to be a good one for Tollyville. The Telugu film industry is making an impact in Bollywood and how!

Getting the act right: This year alone, Tollywood is making a big buzz in the Hindi film industry. As far as star power is concerned, B-Town seems to have welcomed the actors from the South with open arms. It began with "Dum Maaro Dum," which marked the debut of actor RaNa Daggubati followed by "Shor in The City" which saw "Prashthanam" actor Sundeep Kishan make his Bolly beginning. Post the rave reviews of "Shor..." and praise for Daggubati's looks in "DMD" a lot of production houses and directors have shown interest in the actors. "It's encouraging when Telugu stars are part of Hindi films. It gives us a wider scope to explore the acting world," says actor Sundeep.

Sameera Reddy Can't Choose?

More than Bollywood, Sameera Reddy has been concentrating on the Tamil and Telugu film industries.

Ask her if that's a conscious decision and she says, "I'm happy to be getting so many roles down south. But I am also active in Bollywood. I am desperately trying to juggle the assignments in the two industries now."

But, how different is it working in the south Indian film industry when compared to Bollywood? "The difference would be the fans. In Bollywood, the fans are fickle-minded. One day they will love you, the next day, you are just one of the aaya ram gaya ram types. Fans in south India stand by you through thick and thin. Also, the industry here is more organized," she points out.

Tell her fans here also build temples for their favourite stars and she laughs, "I am waiting for one for myself!" However, she quickly adds, "I was joking. Actually, it's scary. I had a crazy experience two years ago when I was shooting here and an elderly lady from the crowd came up to me, slit her wrist and put a tikka on my forehead with her blood. I got so scared that I ran away."

Nayanatara in Bollywood with Salman khan?

Nayantara had always maintained that she is not interested in making a Bollywood debut.

The actress, who has made a mark in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu film industries, is happy with the way her career is going in the South Indian film industry and didn't ever show any interest in jumping on the Bollywood bandwagon.

However, it seems times have changed. With what we hear, Nayan will very soon be seen in a sequel to a Bollywood blockbuster. Buzz is that Salman Khan, who rocked the box office with the Hindi remake of Pokkiri, is high on making a sequel to the film.

The plans of Wanted 2 were already announced by Salman and director Prabhu Deva after the first installment became a huge success. However, Prabhu got busy with his assignments down South, while Salman had Dabangg, Ready and Bodyguard.

But now, Salman is keen on kick-starting Wanted 2 once his ongoing projects end. Most interesting part is that Prabhu Deva is mulling over introducing his lady love in Bollywood with the sequel.

The news comes as a surprise as there have been reports about Nayan planning to quit acting post her marriage to Prabhu. However, as per the latest buzz it seems Nayan's all set to join her contemporaries like Trisha, Asin, Ileana and Kajal who have worked or signed Hindi films.
